Dear Collegues ,

As there is no progress for long time (since 2022) on this Better Pushback, but I'm face some issues on X-Plane 12 - I decided to setup my own developer environment and rebuild the project. It has me taken a lot of time to bring it work again.
So I get maybe why there is no more progress!?

This is nothing else then a FORK from original:

But what I did is an Fork on the project and my own Build. My GIT Repository is here.

What you can expect:
  • Forked from "Release/0.52" which is the last provided since 2022
  • No longer Anouncement on startup that there is no working Gear ....
  • Correct Runway REFS (has changed from XP11 to XP12)
  • Should now work and not stock after pushback is finish
  • Finally I did implement some of the Pull Requests that never was merged and builded.
  • Works and Tested with X-Plane 12.0.8 RC-3 (Windows and Linux only)

Unfortunely I'm just able to provide it for LINUX and WINDOWS. I can't build it for MAC, sorry guys.
If there some other wishes, I maybe can fix more stuff. But please just remember that I'm not the author of this plugin and do not realy get everything what this genial developer has implemented. Just a great work. Hope he get not mad, that I provide you know my own compiled code. But again it is absolutly nothing much changed just some fixes. And everything (Copyright, ...) is unchanged.

BetterPushBack v1.0.7

New in 1.0.7:
  • Settings not working for X-Plane 12 are removed (Not in X-Plane 11)
  • Developer Menu Setting removed, as it is not implemented anyway
  • "Auto disconnect when done" in the settings is now related to current loaded airplane.
  • Solved a crash reported "CTD issues" - start pre -plan , then move the mouse (XPLMProbeTerrainXYZ) - should be fixed for all airports.
  • Support for Shared Flight Plugin

Software Change History:
  • Save/Load Configuration works now
  • Tooltips in settings dialog
  • Negative evaluation should not result in a crash anymore
  • There was a Check, with the callout "aircraft has non-positive wheelbase". This is now removed for all aircraft as it dosn't work for X-Plane 12.

  • Drawing issues correction on Multi Monitor Setup

Please make sure you use the latest version of the X-Plane.
  • Drawing issues correction on Multi Monitor Setup
  • UI Scale Support (For example, if you were to use a UI setting of 150%, this should no longer be a problem.)
  • Fixed Tug Cab View
  • New setting: Ignore check parking brake are set - related to current aircraft. (Helps for some aircraft's. KA350 for instance)

  • Preference window loose the focus if activated during the planner or during the pushback itself. This fix blocks the pref window to appears during the pushback or planner.

Dear community, thank you for your support. Unfortunately, for health and personal reasons, I cannot continue the “project”. I hope there is someone in the future who can continue to push BPB. The sources remain available and I will not remove the download. But there will be no more updates.

Trad : Chère communauté, merci pour votre soutien. Malheureusement, pour des raisons de santé et des raisons personnelles, je ne peux pas continuer le "projet". J'espère qu'il y aura quelqu'un dans le futur qui pourra continuer à faire avancer BPB. Les sources restent disponibles et je ne supprimerai pas le téléchargement. Mais il n'y aura plus de mises à jour.

  • fix some vocal messages on specific langs (en-fr, en-AU, en-de )( i.e "starting push-back, you can start engines" while engines were already started, and corrected to "starting push-back" ). this issue persiste for 'ru' as I'm not an russian speaker.
  • remove vocal message at plugin start-up for non-compatible gear.

Fixes in 1.8.1:

  • Fix audio setting issue in the preference window
  • Eye tracking exclusion is now done from the preference window (read carefully the FAQ in readme.pdf file)
New in 1.8:

  • setup window revamped ( big thanks to @slgoldberg, )
  • BpB menus display now the keyboard shortcuts
  • add datarefs to expose tug position
  • improve BpB camera management with other camera plugin ( i.e. ABC, X-Camera….)

Si vous avez des problèmes avec BetterPushBack et Zibo mod :
  1. effacez le dossier ...\X-Plane folder]\Output\caches\BetterPushbackAirports.cache
  2. effacez le dossier ...\X-Plane folder]\Output\caches\BetterPushback_routes.dat
  3. relancez XP puis un nouveau vol et BPB va reconstruire les 2 fichiers
 
salut Fred, pour ma part, l'avion ne recule pas si je suis en vue intérieure (vidage cache effectué).
Il recule en vue poursuite sans pb mais ça manque d'intérêt visuellement.
Est-ce idem chez toi?

Je ne l'utilise pas ; il me semble que BPB a un problème avec les écrans multiples ...
 
Ah ok. Je peux seulement dire que je n‘ai pas de soucis de cet ordre là avec mes 3 videop et mon écran de contrôle. Une bonne amélioration tout de même car les icônes de décrochage.. peuvent apparaître sur l’écran de notre choix.
Sinon, pour info pour tout le monde, en vue interieur l’avion bouge de gauche à droite /. . Mais reste sur place. Dès que l’on passe en vue externe le pushback se fait bien. La prochaine mise à jour ne devrait pas tarder je pense. Je vais remettre l’ancienne version en attendant…

Essaie de supprimer BPB et de télécharger la version du lien au desous et de l'extraire uniquement avec 7zip ou Windows dans XP/Resources/Plugins et vérifie que C++ est à jour !

merci. J’essayerai ça dès que possible. Demain et dimanche c’est « journées bals Populaires » comme chaque WE, donc guitare, guitare et guitare!!! Dommage qu‘Opencockpits ne fabrique pas des hôtesses de l’air qui aiment la musique, j’aurais pu les amener danser…

Joyeux Noël à toutes et à tous.
Rien n’y fait. L’avion ne recule plus du tout, même en vue externe. J’ai installé le dernier C++, j’ai vidé les cash mais rien n’y fait. J’ai même installé la toute dernière version mais c’est pire, dirais-je, car je n’ai plus accès à l’écran de préférences.
Pour faire reculer l’avion il faut que je mette 2 ou 3 coups de reverse mais bof, aucun intérêt.
J’ai l’impression que les freins à pied sont considérés comme « bloqués » alors que je ne freine pas. J’ai bien retiré le frein de parking. Demain je supprimerai les freins des pédaliers CPT et FO pour voir si c’est ça qui est en cause.

Merci pour vos avis si ça marche ou pas chez vous. Vous pouvez faire un test facilement puis retirer le plugin si vous ne vous en servez plus par la suite. L’installation est hyper simple.

J’ai résolu mon problème: case « inverser » décochée sur pédal rudder CP au niveau du frein gauche
Ce qui bloquait le repoussage.

Bonjour,
Pour information générale, si dans BetterPushBack le tracteur ne s’accroche pas à l’avion c’est souvent à cause de la compatibilité avec les autres scripts (flywithlua, passengersfx…).

En fait, la méthode que j’utilise est la suivante:
- je demande le pushback en premier
- lorsque le tracteur est accroché, je ne relâche pas le frein de park
- Ensuite je lance les airside services et PassengersFX
- Lorsque les airside services sont terminés, je fais une « terminate flight legs », j’arrête les airside services (cancel)
- je relâche le frein de Park pour que le repoussage commence.

En résumé, si vous avez des problèmes avec le repoussage, lancez-le toujours en premier avant tout autre script ADD-ON.
