Ca monte vachement haut quand meme, bank angle avant la limite non?

Special Considerations
CAUTION:
Southerly and southwesterly winds cause extreme turbulence in the lee of the Rock.
An approach should not be continued if the wind persistently exceeds the limits shown in the aerodrome
charts.
Waterspouts
With SW winds localised waterspouts can be generated on the approach to RWY27. In these
circumstances ATC may report "waterspouts on final approach". These waterspouts are usually very shortlived
and may disperse within a few minutes. The waterspouts may be difficult to see from the air, although pilots may notice unusual disturbences on the water surface. The tower are likely to have a better view
and ATC should be consulted if an'y doubt exists.
WARNING:
DO NOT FLY IN THE VICINITY OF WATERSPOUTS. WHEN ATC REPORT "WATERSPOUTS ON
APPROACH" ANY APPROACH TO LAND MUST BE DISCONTINUED.
If the waterspouts disperse a further approach may be made.
The terrain and political situation of Gibraltar necessitate radar patterns involving a late turn onto finals
RWY 09 and a large turn during the missed approach RWY 27.
Large cruise ships maybe manuvering in the vicinit'y of the airport, this will be announced by ATC.
Crews should consider delaying the approach/TKOF as appropriate
Le vent appelé "levant" existe sur la Méditerranée occidentale, France et Corse comprise.
Weather
Apart from the difficult wind conditions already mentioned the Ely "Levanter" wind is frequent from Jul
to Oct and in Mar. It is moist and produces the characteristic banner of cloud (st) which extends from the
Rock a mile or more to leeward. Fog is frequent in these conditions especially after dawn and dusk in the
first 2 or 3 days of a Levanter spell. The wind most favourable for fog is a light NEly.
There is dust haze with Sly winds in Summer.
The sea breeze from the S to SW is frequent from Apr to Sep and may reach speeds greater than 20kts.
A Gibraltar TAF may include a Turbulence Group.
Eg. 520002 where;
5 = Turbulence group indicator
2 = Degree of turbulence scale 0-9
000 = Base of turbulence in hundreds of feet
2 = Thickness of the turbulent layer in thousands of feet.
